A MAN wanted for failing to appear in court was arrested in Somerset yesterday (Friday, February 25).
Matthew Sheppard, 34, was wanted in connection with an assault on an emergency worker.
Sheppard is due to appear in court today (Saturday, February 26).

An Avon and Somerset Polcie spokesperson said: "Matthew Sheppard, 34, who was wanted on warrant for failing to appear in court, was arrested in Weston-super-Mare on Friday 25 February following a public appeal to trace him.
"He is due before Taunton Magistrates’ Court today, Saturday 26 February."
