Burnham United First 6 - 1 Chew Magna First
BURNHAM United have advanced into the next round of the Somerset County Cup after a big win at home against Chew Magna.
From the off the hosts were in control against their lower league opponents and the gulf in class was clear.
Curtis Bradshaw scored a hattrick in the match to continue his form in front of goal this season.
Meanwhile Jaymie Whitehouse and Benny Windram rounded out the goals with two and one respectively.
The home side were in fine form, creating numerous chances and keeping possession of the ball well for the entirety of the match.
But credit to the visitors who despite being outplayed, they fought hard and played right to the end. Their solo goal was a deserved note for their performance.
After the result, the club said: "A convincing cup win by the Seasiders, 2 early goals set the tone for the game.
"We wish Chew Magna all the best for the season."
This week ahead, Burnham United First host Yatton & Cleeve United First on Saturday, November 12.
This will be more of a challenging fixture as Yatton & Cleeve currently sit in third place in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One.
Currently Burnham lie in sixth place and will see this game as a chance to overtake Yatton on the table. Plenty to play for.
