Uphill Castle 4-3 Burnham United
BURNHAM United rallied in the second half to draw level but a late winner saw Uphill Castle take the points at the weekend.
The home side were in complete control in the first half as they quickly ran in a three to one lead before the break.
Burnham were struggling to get a foothold in the match as Uphill were keeping possession and made the most of their chances.
A consolation goal was all they could muster and it looked as though going into the second half the match was over.
However Burnham rallied and pulled two goals back to level the scores.
At this point the game was in the balance and both sides had chances to take the lead late on.
However it was the hosts who made the best chance and in turn made Burnham pay as they scored very late on to win the match.
The result sees Burnham United fall to eighth place in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division 1 and Uphill Castle move to second place.
Up next for Burnham is a Men's Senior Somerset Cup match at home against Timsbury Athletic First on Saturday, December 3. Kick off is 2.30pm.
