Burnham-on-Sea 1 0-7 Exe 3
BURNHAM-on-Sea Ladies Hockey put in a decent performance despite defeat at home at the weekend against Exe Thirds.
The Exe side are currently on top of the West Women's Sedgemoor Division 1 league and they showed why in this match.
They were on top for large parts of the match which is reflected in the scoreline, but the Burnham ladies did themselves proud as they worked as a team to create some strong plays at times.
A spokesperson from the club said: "An unlucky loss to a top of the league side, but some fab hockey played."
The result does leave the Burnham side in bottom of the table with four league points from their 10 games so far this season.
Up next for the ladies is away from home against Chard First team on Saturday, January 21. Weather permitting, that match starts at 12.30pm at Holyrood Academy.
