Somerset County Division One: Stockwood Green 0-5 Burnham United
BURNHAM United smashed five goals past Stockwood Green at the weekend in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One.
Star striker Curtis Bradshaw scored four goals in the match to keep up his impressive early season form.
Burnham now sit on top of the table after the opening two games in the league.
The club said after the win: "Thats two games away and two solid displays from our first team.
"Beating Stockwood Green 5-0 to keep up the winning ways. A well deserved win thanks to plenty of team work throughout the pitch."
In the match, Burnham took the lead in the third minute and kept the pressure on from then on.
In the 15th minute it was 2-0 as Bradshaw continued to run riot over the Stockwood back line.
The score remained the same until halfway through the second half when in the 59th minute it was three.
Ten minutes later it was 4-0 and the final goal came from the penalty spot in the dying moments of the game to wrap up a very impressive win for the Burnham team.
Up next for Burnham is their first home match of the season on Saturday, August 26 when Middlezoy Rovers come to town.
