BURNHAM-on-Sea RFC have confirmed four new signings ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The club has also been in strong pre-season form as just last week they defeated Bridgwater & Albion in an evening match.

The first of the new signings is back rower Todd Stringer.

He joins from Morganians RFC after captaining their Senior side last season.

Stringer said: "I have been very impressed with how welcoming everyone at the club has been. The effort the lads put in at training along with coaches to get us up to speed is on a different level than I've ever had before.

"I can feel improvement in every session and can not wait to now get going in what will be a very competitive season ahead."

Burnham's coaching team added: "It's great to have Todd onboard with us this season, with losing a couple of back rows to travelling and moving on, he has added much needed cover along with leadership qualities."

The club has also signed two more back rowers Jordan Cooper and Sam Carter, as well as full back Martyn Keep.

Cooper joins from North Petherton RFC and he has already fit in seamlessly to the club according to the coaching staff.

On the reasons why he moved to the club, Sam Carter said: "Burnham is an impressive club filled with loads of talented players with different abilities throughout the whole squad it's definitely a hardworking club and very physical on game day.

"I'm looking forward to the season ahead playing with some old members and new members of the team and seeing how I can improve my game with new talents around the field."

Finally, Kemp has also joined from Morganians RFC.

He said: "Really looking forward to sticking on the shirt and scoring tries for the Stags."
