Somerset Division One: Burnham United 1-6 Middlezoy Rovers Res
BURNHAM United were well beaten in their match against Middlezoy Rovers Reserves at the weekend.
Right from the off the visiting side were in control of proceedings as Burnham struggled to keep the ball.
The end result was 6-1 in favour of Middlezoy and that result leaves Burnham in sixth place in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One.
It was Burnham's first defeat of the campaign after a strong start to the season in truth.
In the match, Jack Chillingworth scored a hattrick for Middlezoy while Daniel Luce, James Millard and Owen Sellick picked up the other goals.
The club said after the match: "Unfortunately we couldnt bring our winning away form home for the fans but we re-group and come back fighting next game to get back to the winning ways."
Burnham will look to bounce back next time out which is a match in the Men's Senior Cup.
That game is away at Ilminster Town on September 2, kick off is 2pm.
