IT was a tough weekend for the teams at Burnham United AFC as all three men's sides were beaten.
To start, the first team went down 5-2 away from home against Staplegrove in the Somerset County Leagues Division One.
It was an entertaining game but the Burnham side lost momentum after two deflected goals which took some coming back from.
Elsewhere, Burnham Reserves team lost 0-3 at home against Nailsea Reserves.
All the goals came in the first half but after taking the second half water break the Burnham side were hampered in their flow and lost a little concentration.
Despite the scoreline, the Burnham team put in a spirited effort and did control parts of the match, but were unable to find a goal.
For the Burnham United A team, they lost 1-4 against Clevedon United B team.
Burnham started slowly and despite having a stronger second half the slow start was what cost them the game.
A spokesperson from the club said: "We pull together as a club, get back to the training next week.
"It all starts at the training ground and that's where you will find us now working hard to get our season back on track."
