Somerset Division One: Saltford 5-2 Burnham United
BURNHAM United AFC had a tough weekend as both the first team and the reserves were beaten in their respective matches.
For the Burnham United firsts, they lost away from home 5-2 against Saltford, while the reserves lost 9-0 away at Yatton & Cleeve.
In the first team match, Saltford took their chances in attack and were ruthless against the Burnham defence.
Despite being up against it, Burnham kept threatening and managed to grab two goals themselves.
For the reserves, Yatton and Cleeve were just too good on the day and the scoreline reflected that.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Not the results we went out for today but we lift ourselves up get on the training pitch and go again next week."
In other news at the club, Curtis Bradshaw was awarded December's Player of the Month and also grabbed Goal of the Month.
The club said: "Congratulations Curtis on being awarded December’s 1st team Player of the Month and also Goal of the month for his strike away v Ashcott. Well done Curtis."
