During this summer, there have been many opportunities for men, women, and juniors to try their hand at golf at Enmore Park. The club's professionals, Harry Brown and Alex Elwick, gave a six-week introduction programme with coaching, and it's been great that some of these have taken up the Club's three-month Academy Membership, giving them that all-important step from the excellent practice area to the golf course.

The two summer holiday workshops have been a great success, with 17 participants overall. Many of the children enrolled after Alex and Harry worked with young people at St Mary's Primary School some months ago, which sparked their interest.

During the workshops, Harry and Alex looked to enhance performance across all game elements before putting the skills to the test on the golf course. The workshops were fun and interactive, with many games played. It was a great way to make new friends and enhance golfing skills!

One of those attending, Ted, said: "I liked the challenges that were set—like the long shots on the practice ground and aiming to get on to the green when chipping, getting as near to the flag as possible."

Ted came away from the day full of enthusiasm for the game of golf, so well done, Harry, for making it such a fun day for all ages.

Young people are most welcome to join the Saturday morning coaching sessions specifically designed for 8–14 year–olds. For further details, contact Harry Brown Golf Professional at Harry@enmorepark.co.uk or telephone Enmore Park Golf Club at 01278672100 and select option 3.
