Somerset County Cricket Club has welcomed four new faces.

The club has signed Mollie Robbins, Erin Vukusic, Amelie Munday, and Lola Harris.

Mollie Robbins, a 26-year-old seamer, has signed a one-year contract.

She is a product of the Gloucestershire Academy and made her debut for the county in 2013.

She has claimed 37 wickets in 21 List A matches for Gloucestershire.

Ms Robbins said: "I feel really privileged to still be playing my cricket in the South West.

"I grew up here so to have the opportunity to inspire young girls in the region really means a lot to me."

Erin Vukusic, an 18-year-old right-arm seam bowler, has signed a two-year rookie contract.

She made her First XI debut for Devon in 2021 and has taken 23 wickets at an average of 16.

Ms Vukusic said: "It’s a really exciting opportunity, and one I am really looking forward to.

"Being a professional cricketer is what I’ve always wanted to do."

Amelie Munday, a 22-year-old all-rounder, has signed a one-year rookie contract.

She has featured in 30 white-ball matches, scoring 390 runs with a best of 71 not out.

Ms Munday said: "It’s an incredible opportunity.

"The excitement of being able to pursue a career in the sport I love is amazing, and being able to do that for Somerset makes it even better."

Lola Harris, an 18-year-old leg spinner, has signed her first full-time professional contract.

She has featured in four matches for Somerset, claiming four wickets with a best of two for 25.

Ms Harris said: "I’ve played in the Somerset Pathway since I was eight years old, so it’s amazing that I can now call myself a professional for the County that I grew up playing for.

"This is very special to me and it’s really exciting to be in the first group of professional players at Somerset."

Somerset Women Head Coach, Trevor Griffin, said: "Mollie has the potential to cause batters serious problems.

"Erin is an athlete who moves well and bowls with good pace.

"Lola is a young bowler who has shown that she has the potential to cause batters problems."

Somerset CCC director of cricket, Andy Hurry, added: "We are pleased to have secured the services of a player who has a real connection to the West Country.

"Erin is certainly an exciting talent, and we are looking forward to helping her develop and fulfil her potential.

"Lola is a promising young player who possesses a number of the attributes required to take her game to the next level."
