With 18 holes back open on Thursday morning the Seniors ventured out on the bitterly cold morning to contest their November Medal.
No player matched their handicap in the testing conditions with the winning score being a nett 71 from Chris Hubbard. He was one clear of three players who posted nett 72 and when the countback was completed it was Hubbard's playing partner for the day Nick Rich who was his nearest challenger. Chris Fairchild was placed third behind Rich and Brian Read ended up in fourth.
Saturday saw the Christmas Ransome competition played and probably Storm Bert was the winner as its presence decimated the number of players who decided to take to the course in the multi format event.
The worst of the weather ultimately missed Brean but conditions were still testing for those who played. The winning score was a nett 74 from the duo of Nick Rich and Jon Scorrer as they led home the runners up of Tim Amy and Chris Fairchild by two. Simon Baunton and Kevin Davies edged out Jerry Brueford and Roy Fletcher on a countback for third.
